Green Sea Turtle

Subject: Green Sea Turtle
Where: Ronde, Grenada
When: July 7 2025
Description: They have a teardrop shaped shell and are usually darker colored with patterns on top. This type of turtle is actually mostly herbivorous and its diet consists of mostly seagrass, which changes the color of their skin under their shell and gives them their name.
Sad Fact: The change in climate around the world is causing a lot of damage to the turtle population. This is largely due to the way their eggs hatch. In warmer areas the hatchlings are female, while in colder areas they're males. Which means there can be an overwhelming amount of females in warmer climates.
Personal Note: I've seen quite a few under and around the boat, I was even was able to touch one!
