Where: La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay, Puerto Rico
Description: Movement of large animals in the water agitates the bioluminescence produced by dinoflagellate in the water causing a glowing reaction.
Interesting Fact: The genes that allow these phytoplankton to glow can be inserted into plants and other things DNA to cause them to also glow. Glowy glowy waow.
Personal Note: We got to swim in it and it was amazing.
