Where: Los Haitises National Park, Dominican Republic
When: March 21 2025
Subject: Village Weaver
Description: This agile yellow bird is quick to catch your eye, with its black head and beady red eyes it's quite the sight to behold.
Interesting Fact: Village Weavers get their name from how they create small colonies where each bird can have more safety from predators (the more the merrier!!). Each nest is made mostly out of woven grass and strips of leaves with a hole near the bottom.
